I am cat 20 i have done f6 but not f7. this was a long time ago and i am getting back into the game i wanna know what is a good setup for mage or any class...But in f7 mage setup is pretty expensive and there are so many archers already. Tank is the cheapest option here and easy to find parties. But you can't go with necromancer armor anymore. You will need goldor with a reaper or bonzo mask. I wouldn't say your job in f7 is "hard" but it's the most important one. A bad tank can throw hard.What is the most optimal mage setup you should have to do F7. Honestly, mage isn't great in f7 (especially as cata 30) w/o hyperion. I played bers until about cata 32 then switched to mage when I could afford a hyperion. I assume you're having trouble finding decent parties as a mage w/o hyperion whereas archer with bones (or even melee tank/bers/healer) might still get you into parties.
