I have a MYP on order and was planning on taking delivery by March end. My question to existing owners: is $12k worth the premium? Even with acceleration boost added on the LR, the price difference is $10k. I am unable to figure out the thought process of Tesla here. they have reduced prices across the range except for MYP.

When I checked the Tesla trade in offer in July it was around $15K with Carmax and Carvana in the $22K range. When I checked last week, Tesla's offer was now close to $22K too with Carmax and Carvana at $23K. The Civic's all in cost for me was $24.5K in 2018. I plan to check again once I get my VIN and make a decision.So after 1K deductible, cutting me a check for 23,779 after paying Tesla. Which means essentially I drove MYP free for a year AND was paid 2.9K for doing so. Factor in insurance and total i drove MYP for a year for free and was paid $1369.
