Dec 30, 2016 · From those that are mentioned, if I had to choose I'd select the SR22. Not familiar with the Firefly but, if it is a rebranded Mosquito, then run (don't walk) away from that one. I have one of their MP40/22 models and have been most pleased with the way it performs. The M1911 is like a full-size 1911 .45-caliber in dimensions and weight. Even most parts are interchangeable with a regular 1911. It has yellow dot sights, adjustable rear sight for windage, three front sight posts (short, medium and tall), lever safety, grip safety, slide lock, easy loading 10-round .22 caliber magazine and normal 1911 teardown.

So after cleaning, not deep cleaning, the Firefly I took it out back to the range to try out again. I have the factory 10 round magazine so I put 10 in it and charged the first round. When I fired it the first cycle failed to feed so I racked it back and it fired the rest of the magazine great.

From all accounts the Ruger SR22 is a significantly better pistol, but they usually go for around $300 these days. Still, I would consider looking for a good used Ruger which would probably be within your price range, rather than buying a new Walther P22.
