I have a Rough Rider Bird's Head with a 3" barrel. I've used .22LR and magnums through it no problem. The Single Six is better looking, feels good in the hand, is smooth and overall is built very well. The Rough Rider is built rough, not as pretty but feels good in the hand, is accurate and a whole lot of fun to shoot.The Rough Rider has the cowboy gun style we all like. Roughly similar in size to the now out of production Colt Scout, the Rough Rider operates in the same manner. The hammer is pulled to half-cock, and the loading gate is opened. The cartridges are loaded into the cylinders one at a time. The gate is closed, and you are ready to fire.I have a heritage rough rider with an odd issue. When these two blackstrap screws by trigger guard are properly screwed in and tight, the hammer likes to stick and not feel smooth. When I loosen the screws the hammer runs perfectly. ...
