To get a good crimp, you need a compact powder, and Tightwad works well. It makes a nice soft 1150 fps shotshell. My only gripe is that it is very prone to static electricity. cheddite 209 primers load data. Using it for league trap (22 yards max) and sporting clays, nice load for me. My 7/8 oz bar actually only drops about 360 grains of shot so ... Clays is probably the best fast-burning target powder currently on the market. It burns very cleanly, meters perfectly, and is amazingly consistent from batch to batch. Titewad, however, is almost as good and is the best value in a powder for light target loads. I have used many kegs of it without problems.I found Titewad excellent for 7/8 oz practice @ 1300 fps, 8K to 9.2K psi with Fiocchi & AAHS hulls; makes up a good 1 oz load 1235 fps, 9.6K - 10.2K, but pushing it for 1-1/8 oz as pressure gets up there to 9.3K -11K psi for 1200 fps. Titewad seems to work best with Cheddite, Fiocchi and AAHS hulls.So much so that in most cases you can use the same weight of Titewad for similar performance to the loads with Clays.
