Well, I took the plunge and ordered a LRB receiver James River Armory M14. I happened to be in Baltimore so I called JRA and stopped by before ordering. They were very generous with their time and I learned a lot about the M14. While there is a great deal left for me to learn, I feel great about the purchase. JRA was using some Criterion barrels at that time and there was a batch that had rough chambering. My rifle was unfortunately one of them.I bought a JRA M14 back in 2018 but it was defective. I would load a magazine, pull the charging handle and would fire the first round fine. But it failed to eject the spent case and pull a new loaded shell from the magazine.
