my harbor freight dual drum finally died after about 6 years of ownership. Something got loose and the drums wedged in place, causing the belt to resist spinning. This heated up the motor, which is mounted on plastic motor mounts. The plastic mounts melted, causing the motor to lose tension against the belt, and then killed the motor.
