Shiftpod was designed for summer use at burning man. Having used it, it's great. There are vents all around if you don't have portable AC. The whole thing is shiny and reflects heat. It's also great in the winter with a Mr Buddy, as it is somewhat insulated. Based on the fishing shelters shown it also appears to be much much bigger.So the other thing is the size of the tent packed up. I heard the shiftpod 2 is quite big and wonder if it would be able to fit in my 2 door 2021 bronco with the seats folded down. Second question is heating/cooling. I know this tent was designed for the desert but people have said it’s great for winter camping too.The alternative to the expensive dual hose units that works well is the LG 10,000 BTU (On EBAY for $199 REFURBISHED) single hose unit with a modification with parts from the hardware store.
